Bétonsalon In 2005, the Bétonsalon was started as a joint initiative by Georg Leunter, curator and art investment adviser, and AKRON GROUP as a project to promote highly gifted, contemporary artists who are mostly young and unknown. AKRON GROUP hosts a private art preview four times per year as the main sponsor. more > A better future for “Butterfly Children“ Continuing a long tradition AKRON GROUP will once again participate in a project to support children in 2007. Our donation will be used to finance a one year project to research a healing method for the skin disease of “Butterfly Children” with the costs of € 50,000. Ride for the Roses In 2006, 2193.- Euro was raised for 731 kilometre of the „Ride for the Roses“-tour. www.ridefortheroses.nl Menschen für Menschen In 2006, AKRON GROUP promoted a school project in Ethiopia. A total amount of 50,000 Euro was raised for Karlheinz Böhm’s “Menschen für Menschen” project in Ethiopia. www.menschenfuermenschen.org School project for Tibet In 2005, 25,000 Euro was raised for a school project in Tibet. Donations for flooding catastrophes In 2005, two 5,000-Euro donations were raised for flood victims. In 2003, more than 3,000 Euro was donated to the district of Gerasdorf for flood victims. In 2002, 1,000 Euro was made available to flood victims through a so-called “Licht ins Dunkel” (Bringing Light to Darkness) campaign. Bienenhaus Therapy Centre of the SOS children’s villages 4,000 Euro has been donated to the Bienenhaus therapy centre since 1997.
